CEI Project Manager

The focus of this position will be to serve as the single point of contact with the client’s staff to ensure that each project is executed efficiently and effectively. In addition, the ideal candidate also mentors, manages and assigns inspectors and field technicians to projects, assuring that all are properly trained and equipped and have necessary certifications to perform inspection on client’s construction projects; assists the client with investigating issues that arise on projects, gathering and analyzing data to develop recommendations; performs routine construction project inspections to monitor quality of service to the client and ensures that interests of both the client and ZCA are protected; mentors managers and field technicians to assist in their development; monitors the project budget to manage available funding; and provides front-line quality control of ZCA services for scope, schedule, safety, and client satisfaction.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise the CEI personnel and manage the progress for all projects through final acceptance
  • Act as a technical resource for construction operations as they relate to administration, programming, planning, and design
  • Knowledge of applicable material testing methods, processes and procedures; and oversees the construction operations
  • Develop and monitor construction budget requirements and oversee construction contracts
  • Review construction Plans, Specifications and Estimates, change orders, supplemental agreements, memorandum agreements and extra work orders; review monthly and final estimates prior to submittal
  • Provide project updates and decision items
  • Drive to meetings, trainings, and events as required
  • Attend/represent the company at various meetings
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and capable to manage public relations
  • Ability to collaborate with company team comprised of professional engineers
  • Capability to manage financial and personnel resources to achieve organizational goals
  • Ability to effectively supervise professional, administrative and technical employees; and plan, assign, direct, coordinate and review their work
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills

  • Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff
  • Possess an extensive understanding of construction standards and practices
  • Flexibility to travel to construction sites for extended periods and work outside of normal business hours
  • Must be a self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
